I'm a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Astrophysics,
Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas
(IA - FORTH)
in Heraklion, Greece.
My research passions include supermassive black holes, gravitational waves,
and multi-messenger astrophysics. These topics were central to my PhD dissertation,
titled "Seeing Double: Preparing for Multi-Messenger Detections of
Supermassive Black Hole Binary Systems". As a member of the
NANOGrav collaboration,
I'm invested in detecting and characterizing
gravitational waves emitted by these gargantuan binaries, as well as
developing host identification and other electromagnetic follow-up observation strategies.
I'm a recent Astrophysics PhD graduate from Vanderbilt University.
I successfully defended my thesis in June, and now have the great honor of being the first
in my family to earn a doctorate degree! (If you're interested in the thesis work itself, you can read
more about it on my research page.)
